Fan site for the Columbus Blue Jackets
Description: Nathan Schivley was the lead designer for the Columbus Dispatch's Blue Jackets portal, bluejacketsxtra.com. The site is a combination of Dispatch editorial content, videos highlights, podcasts from staff writers, and a very active message board of Blue Jackets fans.
Challenges: Blending editorial content with user-generated content was a challenge for this site. The Blue Jackets have a very active following and the site has served to strengthen that community without detracting from the professional content of the respected Dispatch staff writers.
